Trotty, Al and Mel (Canada - Mexico - Cuba)
Well hello from chilly Canada - we have been away now for a week and are having a great time. We are currently in Rossland staying with a friend John. The weather has been OK - but we have had some rain. We had a great day in Japan on the way over - a good taste of the culture.
Here in Canada we have seen heaps of snow andeven a few flurries - no full blown snow as yet - we have our fingers crossed. Its been cold - the car we have hired has an outside temperature display on the dash. The warmest its been in while driving (and these temperaturesare all during the day) has been 13C - that was yesterday and the coldest at minus 2C - bloody great. We haveanother week in Canada before heading to Mexico and then Cuba. WE are trying to behave and good ambasidors for Australia.

We ( Mel and I) like Patricia's Pub but are not fans of where it is. The pub's proximity to China Town and Gas Town is great - it's just the transitions that are interesting! This is not a good perspective of Vancouver - homeless, drunks, addicts, etc and worse. We have great stories of Trotty in Pat's Pub - similar to your own. Falls out of bed and then Mel rescued him from going out the door in the middle of the night, he then went into the bathroom, used the toilet and then jumped in the shower (cold) - all whilst still asleep. I woke him up!!!! Mel makes heaps of friends in the smoking room! All good and having a great time - we like Canadians.
